Cassandra
Scenography, as Colectivo Suspeito

"Cassandra" explores the formal physicality of the warning—through the recovery of waste from the textile industry, blamed for representing one of the world's largest polluters, a consequence of globalization and the rise of accelerated consumption. It questions the theme of sustainability through the manipulation of invisible traces of the industrialized process of garment construction, considering the very morphological question of its existence. It uses the prophetic character of Cassandra—taken from Greek mythology—as its starting point. To sustain the spectral and objectual position of the costume, in a quest for its theatricality, an impossible scenario emerges to question the role of the costume designer in the production of the social gestus of an artistic production.
